Small retail and stand alone shops are opened all over the country prior 6 may. State government is even requesting for shopping malls to be opened (which do not come under essential services). Liquor shops are opened, domestic flights and even train services are restored.

But here we have wire barricades on the roads, police blocking the roads which are not even in red zone, they damage cars, humiliate and threaten the public for necessary movements. My father's colleague was badly beaten by police while on his way to work and he had a curfew pas

and even if he didn't have it because not employee is provided with the curfew passs still everyone knows that bank employees have to go to work as per to government instructions amid the pandamic. What does the police not know about it?

My relative was put in jail for few hours when he repeatedly asked police to let him through, he is a health worker. Did they did not know that medical services come under essential services? Saw video of a man from Khanyar crying because his shop (convince store) was destroyed.

Did the police not know that convenience stores, food retailers come under essential services? And even if you have to tell somebody to close the shop because of the pandemic is this how it's done. I saw it myself an elderly man beaten by police for opening his shop.

he hadn't even fully opened his shop there was no crowding, no customers at all it was a tram / kalai shop. The man was just doing some work in there but policeman took his keys did not allow him to close his shop and beat him.

These are not measures taken for the prevention pandemic. And why should we not open shops when the whole country is doing it. We open our shops for few hours in the morning and the rest of the country has proper 10-5 timing. The army us on the streets as if curfew is imposed.

This is just a way for them to economically drain. These are not precautious and preventive measures. THIS IS ABUSE AND PLAIN OPRESSION.
