Thread: realities of Farmaajo the man behind the propaganda

Farmaajo’s character and his qabilst tendencies are evident in his thesis that he wrote a few years before he became prime minister. In his thesis he denies the genocide of Isaaqs under Barre’s regime and undermines former presidents that don’t hail from his clan.

In his thesis he refers to the intentional massacre of civilians as ‘crossfire’ even though UN reports state that a ‘genocide’ took place. To even rub it in Faarmajo is seen taking a picture with convicted war criminal fmr colonel Tukeh in visit to the US.

Also in his thesis there is evidence of his hate for the clans of the former Presidents. Insinuating that they got their positions due to their qabils being ‘gaal raacs’ to the Italians which far from the truth. Both Adan Cadde and Sharmarke got their positions democratically

Furthermore addressing his insinuations about the Mudulood clan being the most loyal and helped the Italians without reservations is factually not true. The Mudulood clan killed the many Italians and resisted colonial rule.

Many N&N supporters claim that Farmaajo is anti corruption but looking at how he got the presidency that’s very unlikely. How can a man born from corruption be anti corruption ? Prof Samatar, head of Somalia's elections commission that oversaw the 2017 elections.

Farmaajo not being corrupt is baseless and allegations against him prove otherwise. Even going the lengths to hide his finances from the general Auditor which meant breaking the law. The corruption index still puts Somalia in the same rank as pervious admins.

Farmaajo’s unfulfilled election promises include:
-defeating AS in 2 yrs
-no road blocks
-not in imposing regional leaders with backing through bribes
-not going to unnecessary external trips.
- re building destroyed buildings attacked by AS

Under Farmaajo AS have become stronger, this can be seen through increased tax revenues and killing more civilians through IEDs/VBIEDs.

Possible reason for increased activity of AS under Farmaajo is due to AS members being given high ranking posts in the security services being it NISA, Haramcad or police.

Road blocks still take place and have become a norm under Farmaajo’s government.

Farmaajo also promised not to interfere in State elections yet his actions in SW state, galmudug and Jubbaland say otherwise. The SW elections exposed political corruption(financial payments) which he denounced also killing civilians in the process and intimidation.

Farmaajo took more overseas trips than HSM and Sh sharif even though he promised that he would cut it.

After failing to place his man in Kismayo. Farmaajo airlifted 1000s of SNA troops and with the help of non amisom troops took over the main towns in Gedo. Clashes with Jubbaland state forces led to 50k+ being displaced.

This was Farmaajo’s attitude towards Foreign troops before he became president but he has now become a fan of using Ethiopians forces to achieve political goals.

After the deployment of the SNA in Gedo backed by non amisom Ethiopian troops. One of the Ethiopian commanders can be seen stating “we are one people and one country”.

In regards to the SNA many people have been pushing the misconception that soldiers get paid on time under Farmaajo which is false. There’s plenty of soldiers that will denounce that claim. Many of those soldiers left their posts on the frontlines due to a lack of pay.

N&N supporters are using the misconceptions of Soldiers being paid on time and the recent increase of pay as a tool to bash previous presidents. Here is Faarmajo stating that soldiers should fight without pay at all nvm $100.

Many people don’t trust Farmaajo with the ICJ case. This is the reason. When he was opposition he was against HSM taking the case to court even after negotiations failed with Kenya.

‘1P1V’ elections is also another one of the failures of Farmaajo. The electoral law has now ‘codified’ 4.5 system which was an unwritten rule in the provisional constitution. Also the sheer amount of challenges for ‘1P1V’ make the elections a dream.
