This trend is deeply disturbing.

We are roaring back up to peak.

I'm sorry but Doctor Bogoch and Toronto's Medical Officer of Health are wrong to keep telling the public it's "totally safe" to go outside.

We are roaring back to peak from the effects of Mother's Day.
Just imagine what the curve will look like in two weeks.

Infectious disease specialists and public health leaders need to stop going on the air and sending the wrong signals to the public.

You were wrong to support opening parks. That is clear.
And you are wrong to blame the public calling them "irresponsible".

You are deflecting blame!

Stop it.

Just try going outside to a park or any venue and maintaining physical distancing. It's not possible.

We are not in control of our personal space out there.
Especially in urban environments.
TV spokespeople and public health leaders spoke in favour of opening and loosening restrictions, supporting the politicians, without any of these key minimal conditions being met:
And now...they blame the public.

Well that isn't good enough, Doctor de Villa and Doctor Bogoch.

You were wrong. You sent the wrong signals to the public. You were too hasty to invest faith in post-peak data.

You were too hasty to endorse reopening compulsions of politicians.
Acknowledge that.

And reverse course.

Stop being defensive. Stop deflecting.
