In all the righteous fury about Cummings we’re missing something.

This crew of bandits have already done a dozen things that should have brought down a normal government - Grenfell, Russian interference, the debacle of the Leave campaign, lying buses, Arcuri, late lockdown...
… PPE cockups, the care homes, cooking the death figures. Cummings was responsible in every case for stopping the story getting out of hand. He’s effectively kept them in power as their behaviour has got more and more egregious. He knows where every single body...
…is buried. He’s also made it clear that he has no time for rules, convention…..or particularly for anyone who gets in the way of his peculiar ‘blow-it-all-up and see where the pieces fall’ approach.
The intellectually and morally bankrupt philosophy that we’ve all cheerfully
dignified with the pompous name of ‘disruption’.

What is now giving me grim joy is watching that bloviating bladder of pus Johnson wriggling on the spike. There is absolutely no way he can fire Cummings.

He didn’t call him into number 10 to tell him off and then loyally ...
defend him in public. Cummings went in and told him what he wanted him to do and explained exactly how he’d be able to choose from dozen ways he could bring the party down if his demands weren’t met.

He could reverse the party's precious Brexit with a single tweet. He could...
demolish and humiliate Johnson personally. He could link any number of senior Tories to corruption and mismanagement that have cause deaths.

No matter the public outrage, Johnson… who probably desperately wants Cummings to disappear in a puff of sulpherous gas… has to do as...
…he’s been ordered. Protect the bastard at all costs.

If you watch it, not as a train crash but as a Shakespeare play or one of those bloated Copolla gangster operas, it’s brilliantly compelling.

Every one of them wants Cummings out of the way or preferably dead. But you...
can’t just call in your amoral enforcer and tell him he’s been a naughty boy and he’s getting a bit embarrassing… and would he mind retiring.

In fact, if Johnson is getting any time to think right now, he might recognise Nemesis.

This is going to get more and more insane...
The story is spiralling gloriously out of control.

Imagine, if you were the cop in the story. Maybe the lawyer. You’ve watched the gangsters garnering more and more seemingly unstoppable power and now, suddenly, they’ve turned on each other...
… the wobbling edifice, held up by mutually assured destructive power is about to self-consume.

Imagine being the lawyer.

Imagine watching and thinking… ‘I don’t have to do a damn thing now but watch them destroy each other and everyone in their filthy gang...
Imagine being that lawyer!

I’m enjoying my popcorn. How about you?
