This is one of my favorite MTG cards. Magic is deeply flawed as a game, but occasionally card design can take your breath away. “Protection from chosen player” is an insanely OP effect—the list of effects which can bypass this is short.

There are many amazkng MTG card names but this one just gels with the effect so well. And look at the art! How strange and scary it is that this nightmare creature would be a merfolk.

In terms of gameplay ofc this card makes the game feel miserable. But just look at that name..
