I think it’s time I made my intentions clear.
Everything you have seen me posted regarding Vaush, Destiny, etc. Here is the reason and my intentions.
I want people, especially black people to not associate with Vaush and people like him. Meaning we don’t engage with him, we don’t support him financially and we disassociate ourselves from him. I want people to instead support people more worth the time and are more constructive
I want to uplift & empower black voices. This whole scenario has shown me how much we don’t really have a voice for ourselves in this sphere. I appreciate @TheObnoxiousAn1 for the lifestream he had with @DiaAngel16 to allow her to be able to speak and @TheLeftistLemon.
It seems people have taken advantage of the situation and used it to simply produce content. The conversation is simply dominated by white people and it annoys me that a self-identified black nationalist in @DiaAngel16 isn’t getting the attention.
People can actually be like “I wanna try and change Vaush’s mind” like no. @DiaAngel16 deserves that attention. Why is it the white guy who misrepresented black nationalism and antagonized people get the attention instead of the actual black nationalist who was misrepresented?
I want a black presence in these environments, so that no longer white people are speaking for us, but we simply speak for ourselves. No longer should we be props for white people to use to further their interests.
I don’t expect supposed allies to actually support us because in reality many people aren’t our allies. When I say “support” I mean actually help us. Shout us out, give us a platform, have our backs when we’re subjected to mistreatment. If you see oppression you stand with us
These are my objectives personally. What Vaush didn’t understand when he thought it was a good idea to treat a black woman who is looking out for black people poorly was that we don’t respect that. That goes for all of em. You treat our folks poorly we’re not cool with you.
If no one will have our backs, we will. #BlackLivesMatter we’re going to fight for each other.
