Players from promotion season, where are they now?
David Stockdale
Chose Birmingham City over Premier League football. Now aged 34, he's had 4 emergency loan spells at League One clubs, currently at Wycombe.
Christian Walton
Was recalled briefly and appeared on the bench a few times. Still contracted to the club but out on loan at Blackburn Rovers aged 24.
Niki Maenpaa
Contract expired in 2018, joined Bristol City on a free transfer.
Casper Ankergren
Appeared on the bench once in the Championship as well as a substitute appearance against Lincoln in the FA Cup. Retired in 2017 and now a goalkeeper coach at the club.
Lewis Dunk
Took the step up to the Prem with ease despite a few own goals, now one of the best English centre backs.
Shane Duffy
Also still at Brighton, had an amazing partnership with Dunk but hasn't played much under Potter.
Uwe Hünemeier
Contract expired in 2018 after 1 Premier League appearance against Everton. Now at Paderborn in the Bundesliga.
Vegard Forren
Joined as a free agent in March 2017, left and joined Molde in July 2017. Didn't make a single appearance for Brighton but made 1 for the U23s.
Connor Goldson
Joined Rangers for £3m in 2018 and now one of the best centre backs in Scotland.
Fikayo Tomori
Wasn't very good for us to be honest, joined Hull City and Derby County on loan after and now having a breakthrough season at Chelsea, playing his first game for England as well.
Ben White
Appeared on the bench a few times, now on loan at Leeds after loans at Newport and Peterborough.
Gaetan Bong
Somehow managed to stay in the Premier League for two and a half seasons, returned to the Cameroon national team, and joined Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee in January.
Sebastien Pocognoli
Joined on loan from West Brom, signed for Standard Liege on a free in 2017, and now at Tony Bloom's other team RUSG in the Belgian second tier.
Sam Adekugbe
No idea why we signed him on loan in the first place. Joined Goteborg on loan afterwards, and now at Valerenga in Norway.
Liam Rosenior
Retired in 2018, joined the U23s as assistant manager but then joined the coaching setup at Derby County last summer.
Bruno
Club legend, played regularly in the Prem despite his age, retired in 2019 after 7 years at the club, joined the coaching setup.
Rob Hunt
Made one appearance off the bench against Burton, joined Oldham for an undisclosed fee in July 2017 and then Swindon Town on a free transfer in 2019.
Rohan Ince
Was on the bench a few times in the first half of the season. After loan spells at Swindon and Bury, he was released in 2018. After being without a club for a year, he joined Cheltenham last summer.
Dale Stephens
One of the few players to still be at the club, I used to slate him but now he's genuinely one of my favourite players, crucial to Potter's playing style.
Oliver Norwood
Joined Fulham on loan in 2017, then Sheffield United in loan in 2018, before making the move permanent in January 2019 for just £2m. Big, big mistake letting him go.
Danny Holla
Didn't know whether or not to include him but I have. Made 2 appearances in the EFL Cup before cancelling his contract in August 2016. Has had spells at PEC Zwolle, Twente and Den Bosch since but is currently a free agent.
Beram Kayal
Had a loan spell at Charlton cut short because of injury problems. Still at Brighton but his contract is due to expire in the summer.
Steve Sidwell
Missed the whole of the 2017-18 season because of injury. Retired after that, and is now a youth development coach at Brighton.
Richie Towell
Made one appearance in the Championship that season, playing the final 6 minutes against Rotherham. Has since had 2 loan spells at Rotherham before joining Salford on a free last summer.
Solly March
Scored the winner against Wigan and a memorable last minute goal against Millwall, still at the club but has had injury problems.
Jamie Murphy
Didn't really get much of a chance in the Premier League, joined Rangers on loan in January 2018 before making it permanent that summer. Now on loan at Burton Albion in League One.
Jiri Skalak
Didn't make an appearance in the Prem but was on the bench 3 times. Joined Millwall for a reported £900k in August 2018 but doesn't play very often.
Kazenga LuaLua
Made 3 appearances early on in the season, joined QPR on loan in January 2017 and again in August 2017, signed for Sunderland on a free transfer in January 2018 and was briefly in Sunderland 'til I Die. Now he's at Luton in the Championship.
Elvis Manu
Made 2 appearances, both off the bench, in the promotion season. Joined Go Ahead Eagles in January 2017. Signed for Genclerbirligi in Turkey on a free transfer and then Akhisarspor a year later. Now at Beijing Renhe in the Chinese second division.
Anthony Knockaert
Won player of the year in the Championship, had a slow start in the Prem but was alright last season, scoring the winner against Crystal Palace. Now at Fulham on loan with an option to buy.
Glenn Murray
Ages like a fine wine, has scored 54 goals since his return to the club and signed a contract extension in February, keeping him here until 2021.
Sam Baldock
Another player who didn't really get a chance in the Premier League, making only 2 appearances off the bench. Signed for Reading for £3.5m in July 2018.
Tomer Hemed
Scored in our first 2 Premier League wins but that was it for the rest of the season. Was on loan at QPR last season then joined Charlton Athletic on a free transfer in the summer.
Chuba Akpom
Had high hopes for him when he signed on loan in January, but he failed to impress. Was on loan at Sint-Truiden in Belgium in 2017-18, then joined PAOK in Greece the season after for £900k.
