"None of us are destined to be poor. No nation is destined to have disease, disasters, and death only. It depends on the CREATIVITY and determination of their people".

Education systems in #Africa, inherited from colonials and never reformed, have ARTS removed!!

In #Somalia, creativity is Xaraam!!

We have banned music, arts, creativity, sports, leisure...And we indoctrinate children, through violence, to memorise, obey, regurgitate!!!

Mental slavery is the most effective way to control people.

First erase their language, culture...
When I migrated to the UK, I noticed most immigrant families pushed their children to study: engineering, medicine, business, etc. They felt this was an 'insurance' against poverty. Fear and trauma has skewed our worldview. These professions don't guarantee freedom. Arts is key.
Basing decisions on fear is harmful to our minds, souls, society. Fear that arts and creative industries will not get us money has led us to delete these vital learning and growth elements from our schools, homes, and cities.

Not saying we should all be artists. #ArtsInSchools
Fearing arts and creativity but encouraging charity and dependency is something Africa has adopted uncritically and without examining the impact it is having on the ground!!

Charity is killing creativity, agency, and our very own humanity!! Charity that is politicized is toxic.
This is what political and control 'charity' looks like.

This is the mayor of #Mogadishu, receiving toilet papers as charity from a white savior.

Don't worry about the embarrassment, focus on the dehumanising and dependency-creation of the charity industry.

I have worked in this sector, have seen the damage to the mind. Africans are portrayed as incapable of wiping their own arses, literally (toilet paper 'donations - when we don't even use that in real life but water to wash, lol).

Charity has created dependency and depression.
Making someone feel like they can't help themselves without your 'help' is creating dependency, helplessness. It is modern day colonialism...Slavery.

For this reason, I don't participate/work in the 'help' industry any more. We are our own agents, our own saviors. No one else.
Most mind-fuck thing this sector does is create dependency and low self-esteem and call it "capacity building"!!! LOL

Nevermind bombs going off in #Somalia, imagine the bombs going off inside the millions convinced they are helpless without a white or arab man!!
