Notice how some people are calling for punishments over and above what the prescribes for breaking a particular law, based on a person's political persuasion? Two Labour MPs, Kinnock and Ali, break the law, no action. Cummings, adviser to the PM, alleged to have broken the law...
And certain people want him sacked. Why do they think they have the right to impose a penalty which the law doesn't allow for? Isn't Dominic Cummins allowed the same rights under the law as everyone else? It's not whether he broke the law or not...
It's about the demands made by political opponents to impose their own punishments. They believe they can ride roughshod over what the law says. The punishment for breaching lockdown is not loss of job, it's a fine. These people are the ones who do not respect the law.
