For as long as we are consumed by bitter ethnic debates, we won’t engage the generational deceit, we won’t explore meritocracy, we won’t focus on accountability.

People on all sides benefiting from these distractions, incompetence hiding behind the major tribes.

The injustice we must focus on is not historic, it is ongoing

It disproportionately affect certain groups but it exclusively affect the most competent amongst us.

An incompetent person never suffered from quota, a competent person couldn’t benefit from it.

The only quota I approve of is the #Opportunity quota - we must give every child the same opportunity via nutrition, education & healthcare.

Anything else will dumb down our society.

We don’t use quota to select doctors, we shouldn’t use it to select leaders.

It is time we stop wrapping the honest conversation about merit in a historical wrong, it poisons the debate and achieves nothing.

The battle for merit is not just inter ethnic, it is intra as well. No ethnicity has successfully brought its best to the top, none.

Our civil service is made up of all the tribes, what meritocracy?

Look inward, start at the local govt and work your way to the state, is that merit driven?

If you truly care about merit, start the battle from your backyard.

If your beef is tribal, Abuja is your battlefield.

Quota system is how you get the masses behind an idea that hurts them

Ethnicity is how you keep the divide in place, how you divert attention from nepotism - giving friends and family positions they haven’t earned

If it was tribalism, we would have the best from each tribe

Don’t let anyone fool you, we are not getting the best from any tribe, we are not even getting the best of their friends and family gene pool, we are getting the most malleable, the praise singers.

This is not TRIBALISM, it is NEPOTISM.

And it is happening in your backyard too.
