On the resumption of sport training with the support for footballers with regular testing - we see the preferential focus on & treatment for predominantly male actors & audiences.

If only there was even half this focus on arts & entertainment with higher proportions of females.

Which prior to now, brought in millions in revenue & employment.
'Playing behind doors' for live or later online viewing?

*No difference* whatsoever to the arts, except the power of gendered sports media facilitating it.

I am so, so angry. Millions of livelihoods are being shredded as is the capacity to tell & reflect on diverse & powerful stories, wholly subjugated for the utterly simplistic, ever unchanging narrative of KICKING A BALL

Just disgusted

Arts & entertainment excels in telling nuanced, complex stories with words or wordless mediums - imagine if this was platformed within every single news bulletin & for 5 mins every half hour, every single day of the year - what kind of country, society, politics would we have?

But no, let's just continue to constantly platform that eternally unchanging one about men & their balls.

Clearly it's worked out really brilliantly for us all.

For full disclosure, in just 7 & a half years, my arts work has created paid work for 51 Arts workers - nearly all of whom were paid less for significantly more complex & demanding work than the disgustingly outrageous amounts paid to MEN FOR KICKING BALLS



This matters.

Why aren't women & even male arts industry workers standing up against this more?
Because ballsports are the primary legal way for huge amounts of men to express aggression. Not all football fans were school bullies against arty types, but such bullies usually were football fans

Don't even get me started about which sports most male domestic abusers and rapists prefer...
