here's a thread of the worst things i endured whilst working at a jewish establishment for five years:
1) getting verbally abused by a man bc he couldnt get the milk he wanted. this happened a lot, but there's one time in particular that was truly harrowing.

2) the grown lady who cried bc she couldnt get pesach margarine
3) working 12 hour shifts around pesach with no breaks

4) having people tell me they shop in the establishment all the time and therefore should get special treatment,,,, bro,,,, we live in a small community,,,, everyone shops here all the time,,,,,
5) the time i had to do a 12 hour shift with no breaks and no sitting down bc they 'moved the chair to make space' and the next day i stole it from where it was hidden and put it back
6) getting yelled at bc i told them we had a couple units of a product left in stock but by the time they got to the shop it was all gone and they didnt even ask me to put it aside for them
7) men who refused to make eye contact with me
8) women who would expect me to pack up their stuff and leave the counter to take it to their cars when they pulled up (illegally) outisde
9) the time a rebbetzin called up 4 mins before closing and i told her she couldnt come and do her shabbos shopping bc we were about to close and she hung up and the next minute my boss came out of his office and said she'd be coming in and i had to stay to ring up her stuff
9a) and then she spent 45 minutes doing her shabbos shopping and i didnt get paid overtime for it
10) the time her son verbally abused me like a year later (although that time my boss did yell at him and threatened to kick his ass which was great)
11) the time my boss made me and my friend work on opposite sides of the store bc we talked too much (so we just yelled at each other)
