As India & China continue the stand off at the border reading this paper is educative. China resolved all its border issues in 1960 & later except with India. 60 yrs later we are still arguing the issue. equal to negotiate. Today in 2020 the assymetry with China is so wide that China is negotiating from a position of strength. As if our stupidity in not resolving the border issue in 1960 wasn't enough we never built any infra in that border areas & even in the north east states.

Today when India is ramping up infra China is objecting & creating conflict. Look back & see what Pakistan did in the areas of Kashmir which was under their control from 1948. They trifurcated it, took control, left behind a small area next to India as disputed & then reiterated

that as the truth. India did nothing, left Kashmir as it is, never took control & created divided aspirations that could never be realised - separate independent country or becoming a part of Pakistan or becoming a part of India without angst. Today when India tries to even take

control over what it had "control" over since 1948 whole world is raising Qns as if India is the culprit. When India could have been part of the permanent club of #UnitedNations we gifted that to China. Today they block India at every stage however much Modi rocks Xi on a swing

hoping to calm him, it is not going to happen. This is interpreted as failure of the Modi govt but nobody quotes history & says that Nehru & his family injected more than one cancer into the Indian bloodstream, each of them historically called as Himalayan blunders. Not easy to

cure these cancers but at least somebody is trying - success or failure notwithstanding. The dreamy idealism of Nehru created serious issues that have held back India for long. That Nehru also contributed in many positive ways to India is also fact. But then ethics & honesty in

evaluating political leaders & history is to be fair & truthful. Appreciate where deserved, criticise where demanded & you will create a balanced view. But then false historians & darbari writers focussed only on making God's of the Nehru family but failures make them Devils.
