Because so many QAnon followers live their online lives in isolation (10,000 followers but no engagement), getting "Q'd" is an effective way to grant an individual cultist a huge endorphin rush and encourage greater commitment to the movement. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/in-excess/201902/love-bombing
The thrill of being *part* of the love bomb mob is also important to reinforce the bond to the cult. It is the only thing most Anons ever get to do that feels like how they've been told they should feel: like a digital army, a family, a community.
Once the love bomb passes, the Anon who got Q'd will crave those endorphins, and is likely to become convinced that if only they could get Q's attention again, they might get "Q'd" again.

Anons often talk about their hope to be Q'd or for their friends to be Q'd.
