1. Zhengli Shi's WIV database had password protected section for unpublished novel virus sequences.
2. Shi changed keywords & description when she updated it from Vers.2 to Vers.4 on 30/12/2019

We also know it was built as part of a long term effort to investigate the link between bat viruses & insect vectors for example. From 2013-2017, WIV worked on Ministry of Sci & Tech programme investigating main natural virus hosts & vectors in China.
