We are currently looking at vagueness in our writing, especially the use of the word "this / it/ its/ that" in our sentences. Don't assume the previous sentence makes the meaning of these words clear.

We are now looking at the use of conjunctive adverbs in our writing. Using the right conjunctive adverb will allow us to signal to our readers' whenever there is a change in the direction of our argument.

We ended off the session by looking at sentence length and the use of commas in our writing. @thesiswhisperer has also recommended some books for further reading and practice! #phdchat #phdlife
