My tryst with communists started pretty early in life although I realised it much later but having my dad in State Bank of Travanacore we were posted quiet early to Cochin. We had a maid who worked in few households and had brothers who did nothing but they were all educated.

Then again while we were in Kottayam our maid servant worked but her husband won't. He would read a paper and gorge upon a glass of Todi but hardly ever worked. That is reality of Kerala many households the female earn and the Male like to squander away at Alchol shops.

When we got transferred from Kerala the packers and movers came in and came the union people. They said we dont care you got your movers and packers you ought to pay us the fees of having used out labours they used to call it as "Ettimali". We were stunned beyond shock

Then in Kolkata while getting my sister admitted to famous national law school we went roaming Park Street and wanted to have something at Haldiram, we asked those famous Taxi for a ride, they said take a walk. We were ready to pay but they were not ready to ply, I wondered why.

Then I realised communist ideology in our daily setup has ruined the way people think and react. These were all different times where I encountered the subtle communists. Had they husband of brothers and maids worked they would have added to income bringing higher income to house

The taxi had it given us ride we would have paid him. The union guys at my house did not move a leaf but wanted money for a service they never gave. Conclusion communists are lazy people who dont mind being a parasite, mostly poverty is their opium.
