SHOUJO ANIME AND MANGA RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD:

with mini thoughts about them too !!

feel free to talk abt the things here with me !! i am afraid i will not be able to properly introduce how wonderful these are with the character limit of twt <333

1. kimi ni todoke (reaching you/from me to you)

this is probably the one that i talk abt a lot. this follows kuronuma as she try to come out of her shell as a shy and sometimes misunderstood person. befriending kazehaya from her class allowed her to start changing+

+ i love how the characters have each problems 2 overcome along the way. and how they helped kuronuma in letting her feelings out even the ones she really can't name yet. the 2nd relationships are very beautiful too. this has 2 anime seasons and the manga is finished. op is fire!

2. kaichou wa maid sama

this follows how president misaki of a male dominated high school try to keep her secret as she works in a maid cafe. but she was found out by usui and they slowly grow close to each other. misaki is v v tsundere but i love her character so muchhh+

+ usui takumi IS THE BLUEPRINT !! I love how they were able to show a lot of conflict resolution everytime something happens. while i am very much inlove with usui i love the 3 idiots just the same !! this has an anime and the manga is finished u should check out the manga!!

3. wotakoi : love is hard for otaku

this follows four people and how they balance their work life, relationships, and their hobby being an otaku. the main relationship are childhood bestfriends connected again at work while the 2nd are highschool sweethearts +

+ they have very good dynamics !! plus the two girls are fujoshi !! (miss koyanagi is the career woman that i achieve to be ksksk) the anime is so good and it has manga too. you will really love all the characters along the way. it's always at the top of my list

4. ouran high school host club

haruhi ended up being one of the members of ouran high school host club when she accidentally broke one hella expensive glass. she ended up befriending all the members of it with v v diverse personalities esp tamaki who mistook her as a boy first++

+ THIS IS ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVES NO MATTER WHAT. I love their dynamics and how they really do have differences. i love how their club do different events to keep it interesting this is the anime with the legendary kiss kiss fall inlove op but u should check out the manga too

5. nijiiro days (rainbow days)

this follows 4 guy friends and their highschool life. each of them with different characters (romantic, playboy, sadist, otaku) their friendship and how they come across to find their relationships. this is in the pov of the guys +

+ but the girls here are EXTRAORDINARY TOO !! the conflicts can sometimes be very frustrating but you will surely enjoy the ride. my favorite pair would be yukirin and tsuyoponnu !! the anime is very short so you can finish it fast it also has a manga that u should check out

6. horimiya (hori-san to miyamura kun)

this manga is one of my shoujo faves. this follows how hori found out that her delinquent looking classmate miyamura is actually a very soft person and she wants to keep it all to herself. they ended up being super close +

+ this has a lot of side ships too that you will really enjoy!! it is fun how they all end up friend more and so. this has a very short anime OVA that you can watch which portrayed how hori and miyamura became close. currently ongoing manga deff worth the read!

7. akkun to kanojo

this follow akkun and nontan's relationship. akkun is v v tsundere but is lowkey obsessed by how lovely nontan is. while he keeps his real feelings nontan knows how he really loves her and they are overall so cute and wholesome++

+ there are side ships but i am not a very big fan of them this anime has a very short anime that u can watch in one sitting. i love their friendships!! the contrast in personalities are very very entertaining. super wholesome something you watch when u want to smile

8. tamako's love story

this is a movie based on the slice of life anime tamako market (that you should also watch!!) which follows tamako and mochizou's relationship as they were childhood friends and live across each other in the shopping district +

+ this movie and anime is super wholesome and you will love the friendships that will blossom along the way. i also love how mochizou has realized his feelings for tamako. they have been together since they were kids and watching them grow up tgt is really heart warming!!

9. tsurezure children

this has a short anime and manga. i really love how there is a lot of ships here and they have different relationships that you can enjoy. i can't stop laughing and be giddy while i watched it. honestly all couples r wholesome and overall just LOVELY++

++ while the anime is good i think you should also check out the manga where you can see more ships and more adorable scenes in general. the anime is pretty short so you can watch after a very intense shounen to make u feel light (that's what i always tend to do ksksk)

10. our love has always been 10cm apart

this is a short anime that will surely touch your heart as the characters go and see what they really want to do in life. haruki and his friends are in the movie club while miou and her friends are in the arts club++

+ haruki and miou has come to get close and naturally their group of friends gradually started to get closer too. the main ship just screams passion while the second ships makes me happy all the same way. while it is very short you can still enjoy it all the way to the end!!

11. monthly girl's nozaki kun (gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun)

this has an anime and manga that u can watch and read about chiyo's confession to her crush nozaki-kun but he mistook it as an admiration to his work as a shoujo mangaka++

++ wanting to be with his side; she agreed to help him in making one of his work. along the way they will foster new friendships with others. this anime will surely make u laugh. it will also help u see how pure a love can be to the point of being contented by staying with them
