The contradictions of capitalist life are subtle but powerful.

We're supposed to handle our disagreements with one another in a civil manner while our military and police are rabidly violent.

We praise democracy as our workplaces are ruthless dictatorships...
We praise equality as race, class & sex divisions determine our value as people.

Religious institutions tell us there's value in life as capitalism makes us disposable commodities.

We're bombarded with "dont drive while drowsy" campaigns while juggling jobs w/ no time to sleep
Schools teach our children to reject "bullying" only to find ourselves inevitably bullied in nearly every aspect of adult life, from our dealings with bosses, landlords, police, judges, debt collectors, courts, government officials, etc...
We're smothered with PSAs about the importance of family & parenting while the grind turns our children & families into strangers.

We're encouraged to practice "mindfulness" & "stress-reduction" by the same bosses who treat us like mindless & worthless drones on a daily basis..
We're educated on the importance of healthy diets while having neither the time nor the money to buy and prepare healthy foods.

And on and on...
