"they're born that way and it doesn't mean anything about them" functions a lot like "colorblind" framing and downplays the contradictions LGBT people are forced to navigate + the ways we interact with each other and the world differently. it does mean something.
and i think a good deal of people get that but far fewer have really worked through the fact that claiming that people are born with innate relationships to social constructs is a falsehood that literally requires the acceptance of impossibility:
how can there possibly be relationships to society pre-ingrained in the biology of the species that created that society? unless you don't actually believe gender and sexuality are coercive constructs?
then in accepting that falsehood you claim that infants have a gender? and a sexual orientation? i can't abide that.
