Healing the collective unconscious.

Carl Jung defined the Collective Unconscious as a set of survival mechanisms that engraved in our DNA, which are born knowing as human beings.
He used religion as an example, that all human beings have an innate inclination toward the belief in the existence of a superior spiritual being (God).
The collective unconscious seems to have been constructed for protective measures, however, it now seems that it is also vulnerable to alterations and subsequent harbouring of harmful intergenerational information that keeps us in circles of endless misery.
How did we get here you might wonder?

Well, I put it to you that we have within us (Black people), the threads of genetic material from the earliest of human kind, but unfortunately....
...we also carry the "malevolent" genetic material of our forefathers who experienced the first bloody encounters with European imperialists in 1652.

We have now endured the trauma from these encounters for 4 full centuries and 70 years in 2020.
Each of the trauma incidents gets etched into our unconscious as individuals, we survive it's onslaught with resilience, but the scar remains in the DNA and we pass that on to our children.

Every generation of black people in South Africa has this experience since 1652.
Today we say we have survived colonization and apartheid, I agree we have but most of that survival is plainly physical.

Emotionally we are in in ICU, behaviorally we are in a psychiatric institution, spiritually we are in hell.
The almighty Collective Unconscious of the South African black child is corrupt, all we are inheriting now from our parents' DNA is trauma survival related mechanisms, and seldom get abundant peace related genetic material.
How does this affect us?

Well, apartheid ended over 20 years ago but our society because of our inherited trauma archetypes is still at war, with each other.

It will be difficult for me to see value in your life when I can't see value in my own. That's why killing is so easy.
That is also why corruption and stealing from poor people is so easy for our black politicians.

That's why lying to people about healing power is so easy by black spiritual leaders and traditional healers.
That's why supporting black businesses is such a challenge for us, that's why we place so much value on being in places and owning things that no other black person can afford.
There's no coincidence in SA being the "Rape and Violent Crime Capital" of the world.

These stats and figures allude to the idea of a corrupted/contaminated collective unconscious which needs profound reconfiguration of Emotion, behaviour and Spirituality for healing to happen.
It is too deep and anxiety provoking for most people to even think about it, because ignorance is bliss.

Healing is painful in the beginning but a little pain is a fitting sacrifice for a reward of life long peace....
...also, remember that healing yourself is healing your children, their children and many more generations to come.
