THREAD | Monday we launch the biggest @sdutIdeas project in recent memory, our Community Voices Project. Years in the making, it's an effort to tap into a range of community leaders to create a forum that can make San Diego a stronger, more inclusive place, through dialogue.

With help and participation from our community advisory board, @sdutIdeas has created a forum for civil civic dialogue. We invited nearly 100 people from all walks of life across our megaregion to be founding members and to write essays for us, at any length, on any subject.

So far dozens of people have become Community Voices and others are thinking about it. Each will write at least once a month and after a year we will look to make the group even bigger and even more diverse.

The @sdutIdeas Community Voices Project launches Monday with more than a dozen essays from people on the subjects of their choosing. Many relate to the pandemic. Some are very personal. All are eloquent and inspirational. This is what happens when a community comes together. 4/5
Look for the first essays on https://bit.ly/3cVqhK6  Monday and look for more in the days, weeks and months ahead. I'm proud to create and showcase a forum for so many Community Voices. I can't wait for you to hear from them. I can't wait for you to join this conversation.
