1. We’ve got to a point where cancel culture has evolved into being so rapid and so destructive very quickly. I can’t speak for everyone but as viewers we wanna follow and support celebs/ artists that are worth our support: ones that do good or at least create positive content
2. So when news comes out “exposing” or “cancelling” a celeb for someone that goes against morals and positive representation it’s natural for people to not want to support that person as much or at all.
3. The point I’m trying to make is that because cancelling a person literally takes a matter of HOURS to go viral this is so dangerous because there is only limited evidence and research into A. why are they cancelled, B. where’s the evidence and C. Why has it come out now?
4. At the end of the day people need to just think: am I interested in this exposing or cancel drama because it’s viral, entertaining, gossip, funny etc? Or: do I as a FAN or even an interested viewer want to try and balance the sides before I make a decision?
5. This thread isn’t to defend either side of the Doja Cat drama. The point is: I’m confused whether it’s true or not which only makes me conflicted as someone that is in limbo about whether to continue to support her.
