I really dislike when people use the short story from the ultimania to claim Sora still doesn't understand love. The entirety of KH3 was practically a journey about discovering all kinds of love and the form it takes. That story is a POV from KH2.

He had so much character developement throughout KH3 leading up to him truly realizing what love is. That scene with the flashbacks? Scenes of the different forms love can take. Its at that very moment it clicks. He realizes why those people gave themselves to save their beloved

He realizes in that moment their acts of sacrifice, were because they loved them. He knows what love is and yes he does still have much to learn about it but he does know. Love and all the forms that it takes.

Love strong enough to go beyond the farthest reach of despair. Love powerful enough to pierce the darkness. Love to protect and to cherish someone. Love that never passes even with the end of life. Love in the power of belief. Love in the patience of time and the hope of reunion.

Love isnt a kiss, it isn't a held hand. It is so much more. To reduce it to something so understandable would be a shame. It is not for one person, but for all of the people who love and cherish him as well.

I hope Sora knows, how much it is that he is also loved.

Oh boy. Look I dislike waking up to ship discourse especially on a tweet I made that was completely unrelated to anything ship wise. The post was meant to be about all love Sora has in his life and that with all he gained throughout KH3 he realized HE HIMSELF is loved.

That after all hes sacrificed because of the love he has for everyone he meets, that by those people he is also loved back. That his friends love him just as he loves them. This isn't a s/k or s/r debate. Don't use my words to twist this into that and use it in your artillery.

When the word love comes into play dont make it all about romance. Because thats not all that love is. Love is so much more complex than that. As I stated in the thread it is in many forms. All of which Sora is very aware of by the end of the game.

There is no value that puts any love above another. Love is priceless in every way it can be.
