as a comic fan, you have NO OBLIGATION to read all the comics under the sun. there's so many it's probably impossible. you can limit your reading to a single character, you can only read from a certain decade. whatever. WHAT YOU CANNOT DO, is act like your limited-

-view is fact. if you only read about a certain character you can't turn around and act like your knowledge rightfully dictates how another character should act. if you only read stuff from the 2010s you don't have the context needed when discussing a team that's been around for-

decades. like, please. in no way am i saying you can't participate in conversations regarding a character, what i'm trying to say is that you don't have all the context and that can leave your view on certain characters skewered for no reason other than lack of info.
