The double standard here around partner earnings is ASTOUNDING.

Also, I& #39;m pretty sure those are the same conditions every person on the unemployment benefit has to live up to

I just want to be clear: it& #39;s awful that people are losing their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic and measures we& #39;ve taken as a society to counteract it.

These people are deserving of our support and sympathy.

And so are NZs other beneficiaries.

There is no reason that if your partner earns $2k per week you should qualify for assistance if you lost your job in March but not in February.

Allow people the dignity to live their lives ffs
