I have a theory about Beyoncé and her beliefs. So, if you’ve been a fan of her and followed her from the beginning, then you know her and her family always talked about being into church and everything. Contrast that to now, her, solange, and even ms.tina are more-
**PUBLICLY spiritual than in the previous years. Maybe that’s not the right word to use, but you get my point. During bey’s self titled is when I noticed the shift. You can tell that she started to slowly embrace her spirituality more, but lemonade -
was when she just kicked the whole house down. So much symbolism. Culture. Etc. Now the reason I said publicly spiritual in my last tweet is because I think one of two things couldve happened.
1) bey has always been aware of African spirituality and her voodoo family history on her mom’s side and actively practiced. She just had to put on the good church girl act bc the gp have negative connotations with voodoo/witch craft/any practice that’s not the main religions-
in America. 2) She was/wasn’t aware of African spirituality and her genetic ties to voodoo, but maybe she was scared to practice it for xyz reason. Maybe ms.tina didn’t want to have her family practice it or have knowledge of it bc it can be dangerous, etc.
Maybe it was a family secret that only the elders knew. Etc. I obviously don’t know. But either way, something clearly happened from her early years to now. She seem so *publicly confident and proud of her beliefs and family traditions. You can hear it in her music. Visuals. Etc.
Why did I make this thread? Because I’m bored and obsessed with her sdfgghhhjkk. But seriously. I seen a genealogy thread on her family and apparently they were witches/priests/priestesses.
