If Cummings’s trip to Durham was so lawful, honest and responsible why did he and his wife feel it necessary to write a cover story in the Spectator implying they were in isolation in London?

And is it just pure coincidence that apparently, family birthdays and now it sounds like a death of an uncle, happened to coincide with the times Cummings et al were in Durham?

AND, and this is the clincher, what were the special circumstances that put their child’s life at extreme risk? At the point they chose to go, neither of them, apparently were showing severe symptoms and then neither of them actually required help once they were there!

Do they tend to fabricate a completely false cover story though? It’s almost like they knew they’d done wrong.
