I’d like to believe that most people who I follow or follow me are more considerate than this but I feel like it’s worth reiterating that sitting down to eat at a restaurant is selfish and puts people who need to make a livelihood at a risk.
Waiting at a restaurant that already reached capacity is an asshole move. Aside from serving those in the restaurant, most places are dealing with high volume take out/delivery orders... not to mention at that rate you could just make your own food or support another business.
If you do choose to be an inconsiderate asshole and do one or both of these things, then TIP YOUR SERVERS ACCORDINGLY. It should also go without saying that you should always tip on take out orders and you should always tip your delivery drivers.
Also I know people want to make the argument that they’re supporting these people’s paychecks and whatever the fuck but if your selfish asses stayed home then there would be less motives for places to stay open and people could make a lot more money safe at home on unemployment.
I can guarantee you people don’t want to risk their lives for your $2 tip.
It should go without saying that business owners should be more responsible and considerate of their employees but since most are shit bags, hold yourself accountable.
