7. Black Thought

The best wordsmith we’ve ever seen. From his iconic 10 minute Flex freestyle to his classics with The Roots, Thought has been maybe the most consistent MC of all time. An alien among aliens, anyone could get bodied by him and he can stick to a concept so well.
6. Ghostface Killah

The greatest member of Wu-Tang. Ghostface has one of the best discographies in hip hop with a huge involvement in an arguable 6 classics. His flow is so crisp and rough yet smooth as he rips through any beat with his iconic delivery. So many legendary verses.

Everything Biggie touched was classic material. Biggie was flawless; his flow, ability to put together an album and tell a story all might be the best we’ve ever seen. His smooth delivery, clever humour and the way he embraced his flaws is still unmatched to this day.
3. Tupac

From the thug to the poet, Pac’s aura of greatness was like no other. His ability to convey his infectious passion and emotion is the best we’ve ever seen. With 3 classics at the age of 25, he showed no signs of slowing down. His poetry continues to inspire, even today.

Nas at his best is the best MC to ever grace hip hop. His debut Illmatic is unrivalled among hip hop’s greatest albums and is one of the greatest music pieces, ever. His storytelling and lyricism is a step above anything in hip hop. Nas is the greatest rapper of all time.
