study tips, from a senior (with adhd)
first of all, what works for me, might not work for you. in this thread i'll be talking about what helps me
study tip #1
find out when you're able to study and stay focused the best. i study at night because no one is bothering me and everything is calm. you might be functioning the best in the morning or afternoon, try it out. if something doesn't work, dont force it
study tip #2
watching study with me channels during studying helps me a lot. you can study at the same time as that person
you can find channels with music in the background, rain sounds, fireplace, etc.
my favorite one is her, she has cute cats 🥺🥺🥺 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcU1idmyENWECHP0gxj7hMg
study tip #3
download study apps such as flip or forest
on flip you can make routines, daily tasks etc. it has a lot of features that i find very helpful
forest is another productivity app, where if u exit the app, your tree dies. basically it prevents you from getting distracted
study tip #4
write to do lists!!!! i make lists daily, so i'll know what i have to do that day. this helps me remember things that i would forget otherwise
study tip #5
dont study with music that you know. how are you supposed to memorize a lot of information when you keep feeling special? and you're dancing the night away? you're kicking it like bruce lee? YOU CANT, TURN THAT SHIT OFF
listen to white noise or songs u dont know
study tip #6
if there's homework and studying to do that you know you can do easily and quickly, do it before the harder tasks
it will get u in that ~flow~ and you can already tick something off your list!
