So. We want to play the cancel game? Yes, racism, homophobia, sexism, etc...Need to be CALLED OUT. Problematic behavior and microaggressions need to be called out.
But...what truly needs to be cancelled? A celebrity? I don’t think that’s it.

Data collected in 2019 by @PNASNews finds that at current levels of risk, Black men have a 1 in 1000 chance of being killed by police. “The average lifetime odds of being killed by police are about 1 in 2,000 for men, and 1 in 33,000 for women”

“For young men of color, police use of force is among the leading causes of death”.
So we can tweet all day about a celebrity, but who’s going to show up and stand up against this violent and powerful systematic oppression?

Go off on Twitter all you want about an instagram caption. But I’m tired of seeing these cancel party hashtags trending. Wow, such great work towards dismantling institutionalized racism.

Cancel the over incarnation of black men. Cancel the murder of unarmed black people at the hands of unchecked power.
Cancel lynching.
