The 'men must suppress their emotions' part of masculinity really sucks cuz people will assume that we're just being manipulative when we tell them we're feeling a certain way, believing that there's no way we actually feel the way we do.

To be clear, wayyyy too many men are manipulative, gaslighting fucks and men themselves are not the victims of masculinity nearly as much as we the perpetrators of it - it's probably a good bet to assume that men are just always either being dumb or shitty.

My point is that masculinity is bad for everyone involved, and it's not equally bad for everyone.
