There's this weird side effect to discourse where if someone points out something problematic with a thing, everybody else who didn't do that first is now considered guilty and complicit and must follow suit or risk disagreeing. It's stressful and unavoidable 😑
Like suddenly you are trapped: were you aware of it but purposefully elected to not do anything? Were you NOT aware, which is admitting you are ignorant of the issue?
There isn't really a way in which you can emerge without having to save face
I guess this might be why some people are so eager to call things out as fast as possible even if it means making things up because the alternative instantly turns you into a hypocrite, which will destroy your precious credibility.
