folks frequently ask me on here what books + resources i use for magick and spiritual stuff. the answer is very complicated (i've been writing a book about it) and the list is very long, but in this thread you'll find a few i like:
**Condensed Chaos: An Introduction to Chaos Magick by Phil Hine**

If you're looking to get into magick, this is where I would start. It's a perfect crash course in sigil-making, projecting your will, and how to make a freaking tulpa.
**Holy Wild: A Heathen Bible for the Untamed Woman by Danielle Dulsky**

At first I wrote it off as instawitch shit, but its SO good. Very eloquently written. Its less about practical magick + moreso about the importance of myth + story (2 things deeply important to my practice)
**To Ride a Silver Broomstick by Silver RavenWolf**

This is a good crash course in modern paganism/wicaa. For me, it's one of those...take what you want an leave the rest type of books, but it's great for developing a magical routine and little things like how to make an altar.
**Moon Magic by Diane Ahlquist**

It's VERY hard to find books about moon cycles + astrology. So many of them are fear based + perpetuate colonialist ideas about power and nature. This book is 1000% not that. It still is the foundation of all my moon rituals. Great for beginners.
**Your Body and the Stars by Rebecca Gordon and Stephanie Marango**

If you like yoga or pilates + wanna learn about astrology in a positive, self-care rooted way, golly...is this book for you. I LOVE this book (and this is coming from an astrologer who hates astrology books).
**The Secret Doctrine and Isis Unveiled - both by Helena Blavatsky**

These are dense. I'd be lying if I said I read them in their entirety. But Blavatsky's ideas along with a few other books on this list really helped me find a mythological footing to ground my belief in.
**The Gospel of Mary Magdalene**

I know...but god...there's so much good shit in the lost books of the bible. This book specifically has helpful takes on the nature of souls and queers Christ/scripture in a really fantastic way.
**The Book of Enoch**

A lost book of the bible thats more like a graphic novel. It clears up a lot of what's going on in the torah + validates the myths found in other early writings from non-Abrahamic cultures. I'm fairly certain there's more truth in Enoch than most holy books
**Thunder, A Perfect Mind**

A gnostic poem. Just read it. Tweeting about something so immaculate and rich is pointless.
**Wild Unknown Tarot**

Most tarot books suck + have shitty ideas about gender. The deck I use every day is called Wild Unknown by Kim Krans + comes with a FANTASTIC book. Its the only intro book I can recommend. The truth found in the cards is something u must seek for yourself.
**The Kybalion**

If you are interested in Hermetic magick (what the masons used), Kabbalah, and thinking about the universe in trippy ways...this book...gosh. SO good. It's hard to read. Have a notepad handy. Take your time with it. It's one of my favorite things ever written
