THREAD: As #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek concludes, we want to remind our followers that at @radioverulam, the conversation on mental health will continue… [1/6]
…we pride ourselves on giving airtime to local organisations and charities who are dedicated to supporting our community with mental health and wellbeing because finding accessible, local help is so important in our busy, on-the-move lifestyles… #SideWithStAlbans💙💛 [2/6]
…now more than ever our mental health is precious and if it’s broadcasting useful interviews with advice, offering you the chance to unwind with some uplifting music or hearing a local voice to keep you company through the day, we strive to play our part. [3/6]
As a volunteer-run organisation, we ensure our volunteers:
👨🏽‍💻👩🏼‍💻 have regular catch-ups in teams
⚖️ have the right balance of time on and off air
🗣 can feel safe knowing we do not tolerate abuse
📥 can share any concerns directly to our board [4/6]
This year we took part in the #MentalHealthMinute led by @kensingtonroyal. Even in a difficult time for #communityradio, we will continue to ensure mental health support and community-led wellbeing initiatives are broadcast and heard [5/6] https://twitter.com/radioverulam/status/1262323457091678208
