And then being mocked for “wanting to have it all.”

I have to listen to a river of vicious bile about women every day, in a country that actively preferred fascism to a woman, & most of the purveyors of that bile are raking it in on the backs of their hilarious hate.

Meanwhile the reality is, most women are trying their fucking best in a culture that is RACING to undo everything that allows them to be almost full members of humanity.

“Hey, maybe women shouldn’t have gotten the vote” did not used to be something young people got paid to say.

I guarantee you what happened to that woman has happened over and over without ever being reported in the media, because “choosing” motherhood over career is a positive cultural narrative (& choosing fatherhood isn’t).

But that wasn’t a choice. And now that family has no income.
