Hey #SportsVizSunday folks! We have a fun change up to our weekly round up this week. We are going to highlight a few great vizzes, but then we're going to provide some polls/prompts for some engagement from the community! Let's get started...
First off, another great entry for this month's #SportsVizSunday challenge by @VizMaestro. The Bundesliga is back to playing, so make sure to check out this viz to catch up on the league's recent history. https://twitter.com/VizMaestro/status/1262625982671798272?s=20
I really like this cluster analysis by @mrhanx_ on analyzing the NBA's Most Valuable Player. Really cool analysis here! #SportsVizSunday https://twitter.com/mrhanx_/status/1264194914646028289?s=20
A great look back at the career of Bartolo Colon aka Big Sexy by @arib83. I really enjoy vizzes like this that focus on a single player or single game to allow viewers to focus. Thanks for sharing with #SportsVizSunday! https://twitter.com/AriB83/status/1264604634636828672?s=20
So nowwww for the fun part. I'm looking forward to seeing some fun responses here from our #SportsVizSunday community. Even though we might not have sports right now, reminiscing about them can make it a little easier. First, off...what is your favorite sport?
What is your favorite sporting moment that you've witnessed in person?

Mine: I have two. One was being at a game where Adam Dunn hit a walk off grand slam. The other, watching Todd Frazier win the Home Run Derby on a walk off HR when the All Start Game was in Cincinnati
Who is your favorite athlete of all time and why?

Mine: Brandon Phillips. Hands down the best fielder I've ever watched play the game of baseball. And I got to meet him at batting practice at one point. LOOK AT THAT GUY!!
What is your favorite sports team and why?

Mine: Cincinnati Reds. I can't remember a time in my life when the Reds weren't on the radio at my house during the summer, so I guess I never had a choice!?
Favorite soccer league?
Are NASCAR drivers athletes?
Thoughts on #TheLastDance documentary?

Personally, I loved it. I understand the criticism about MJ’s control of the content, but overall a great doc.
Last prompt, what’s your favorite game you’ve ever watched either in person or on TV?

Mine: Cincinnati Bearcats football defeating Pitt in the snow to win the Big East title and a Sugar Bowl berth
I hope this provides us some fun talking point today with there being no sports to entertain us! Thanks so much for your responses and your involvement in the #SportsVizSunday community!
