even though my grandmother used to pray five times a day, my parents were not religious. like not at all. but when i lived at home and wanted to fast ramadan, they respected that. we still celebrated eid, even in the diaspora, we visited families.

being muslim as an albanian is not something alian. like it is not alian to drink beer during ramadan and think it is revolutionary modernism god knows what the imagination pertains.[i am not against that. do as you please] but in the process just let people be.

this constant need for alarm and policing in the albosphere is so tiring. i am not very religious myself, but i cannot deny nor pretend that this is not part of my identity. sure you can choose to not celebrate. but i choose so. so what!
