EXPLAINING NICKI ERA’S - a thread
Mixtape era (2004-2010): this can be described as beginning anywhere from when Nicki started rapping to ending when bedrock and pink Friday’s rollout started. Playtime is Over, Sucka Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty are all from nickis mixtape era
Pink Friday Era (2010-late 2011): This era was nickis breakout and was the era of Pink Friday’s rollout. It went from the lead “Your Love” being dropped on June 1st of 2010. Standout staples of that era are the iconic nicki bangs.
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Era (2012-2013): This era is based around Roman Reloaded’s rollout, whihc started on February 14th, 2012. This era was when nicki was using lots of pop in her music. Recognizable looks from this era are her blonde hair, and countless colorful looks.
The Pinkprint Era (2014-2016): This was nickis most successful era and departed from her crazy colors in the Roman reloaded era for more natural looks and more rap based songs. This era can be assumed to be started at the release of “Lookin Ass” and ended near the end of Tpp tour
2017 Era (2017): This can be described as its own era because it’s not near The Pinkprint but also doesn’t fit in with the Queen era. Nicki did numerous features in this year, and took many shots at Remy ma after the distrack Shether dropped. This was also when nicki wore inches.
Queen Era (2018- early 2019,Release of Wobble Up): This era was nickis comeback to music with the lead single Chun-Li. This spawned the Nicki hate train that still goes on till today. It ended after the Nicki Wrld Tour in 2019 which was near the release of wobble up.
“Queen Sleazy Era” (2019-present day): This era can be seen from the drop of Megatron and to today with single like Yikes. This time now is defiantly not the Queen era, but not the nm5 (Nicki Minaj 5) era either. It’s the time where we have been waiting for the nm5 lead.
