I assume the people angry about masks are equally upset about the rampant use of oven mitts, sunscreen, hearing protection, and food refrigeration.

Wow people who just created their accounts sure do hate masks.

My favorite are the geniuses who think they've found some kind of "gotcha" when they discover an example of science or medicine revising a recommendation based on new evidence. (Hint: That's why science tends to be more reliable than the ravings of Random Internet People).

The particularly idiotic thing here is the masks these people hate so much are TEMPORARY. The sooner we get this under control the sooner things will go back to normal. No one is saying we all will need to wear masks all the time forever.

Just grow up and wear a goddamn mask.

If this were WWII, these people would be refusing to use blackout curtains at night because having your city bombed is an important freedom.
