These responses to Ayesha Curry's bikini pic tho. We shame people for changing their minds or choosing differently (esp after being vocal about their old choices). Have you ever changed your mind? Are others allowed to? Or is it a privilege we reserve exclusively for ourselves?
Is her offence vocalizing her thoughts. Oh? So she should have been quiet? That's what she did wrong? I hear you being so quiet right now. Or is it that she may have tried to shame people whose choices were different from hers? Yeah. You'd never do that, would you? I hear you.
Held up to the same level of scrutiny, we'd be in her shoes. The things we've said, done & believed.
We all talk about our personal growth. Is that not proof that there's a less than stellar version of us that we left behind? Should the old version of us be brought up every time?
Are we required to seek redemption from everyone we left in our wake? Or is this only a requirement we have of others.
You're allowed to forgive yourself & move on. To admit your mistakes & commit to doing better, without people bringing up your past errors. Are they allowed to?
