This past couple months has been a huge eye opener about the discoverability on Twitch.

It confirmed a lot of my already existing suspicions.
When I streamed VALORANT in early April when the whole drops thing was happening I averaged 1000 viewers for the first few weeks and I was gaining “give or take” 1K followers per 8 hour stream.

I was able to grow because of the exposure from drops.
But now that those are over, and viewership on the channel is WAY WAY down compared to what it was - I went from gaining followers consistently to not gaining ANY.

Because the channel is low enough on the directory again to not be seen by new eyes.
I’m not complaining about the viewership, I’m grateful to have 20+ concurrent daily. My issue is the idiots in the chat.

I HAVEN’T CHANGED ANYTHING. I’m still sitting here, doing my thing DAILY.

The difference is, now that the exposure is gone... I’m not growing at all from it.
So when people come into the chat every fucking day and ask:

“wtf didn’t you have 1K last month where are the viewers?”

I answer: “I DONT KNOW, WHY DONT YOU ASK THE PEOPLE THAT AREN’T WATCHING????”
