He despises MPs, the civil service and politics in general. He has repeatedly said:

- he thinks government control should be centralized in the hands of the PM
- he believes in the power of markets
- he thinks the civil service is incompetent 3/6

- he wants more external experts in government

On the other hand, he’s not a monster. He loves his wife and child. He has set out what he wants to do and behaves rationally in the pursuit of those things. If you fall into the trap of believing the caricatures you will 4/6

forget to engage with what he actually does and why he does it. That’s what he wants. We are not his constituency. We are his enemy. He will do nothing to please us, he knows we will never agree with him. We think he’s a c**t & he feels the same about us! 5/6
