Karna Vs Arjuna

Karna is the unsung hero of Mahabharata. You can love him or hate him but you cant ignore him.
2/23
His character in Mahabharata raise and discuss major emotional and dharma (duty, ethics, moral) dilemmas.
His story has inspired many secondary works, poetry and dramatic plays in the Hindu arts tradition, both in India and in southeast Asia
3/23
Karna was a demon Dambhodbhava in his previous life. He had battle with Nara and Narayan but they could not kill him since he was saved by Surya dev. Nara and Narayan took birth as Arjuna and Krishna to kill him.
4/23
Karna was born with divine earrings and armor that made him immortal in war. However, despite being warned, Karna preferred to lose them to uphold his reputation as the one who always gives dāna (charity), particularly to Brahmins, as being more important than his own life
5/23
As war begun, Arjun put Brahmastra on his Dhanush but Karna destroyed it even before firing it by his lethal arrows. Bhima who was protecting Arjuna got very angry on it.
6/23
Both fired thousands of arrows on each other and injured each other. Yudhisthir also reached there and started to watch their battle. Karna fired 5 arrows on Krishna to kill him that made him injured and he started to bleeding.
7/23
Arjuna attacked on all the soldiers, warriors surrounding to Karna. They all fled from there leaving Karna alone and started to watch the battle from far. They fired so many arrows to each other that they covered the clouds and darkness appeared there.
8/23
All dev, rishi, gandharva were watching their battle and applauding both. There was a deadly snake ashwasen who used to consider Arjuna his enemy since his parents were burned in Khandavaprastha. He converted himself into arrow and hid in quiver (tarkash) of Karna
9/23
Karna had a nagastra. When Karna tried to use it, That Ashwasen snake came on Dhanush of Karna and Karna aimed it on Arjuna chest and fired it. When Krishna saw it he pushed the rath into the ground. The rath went 1 feet into ground and then arrow hit the mukut of Arjuna.
10/23
That precious Indra mukut fell on ground and detroyed. The deadly snake was son of Takshak. He went back in the quiver of Karna but this time Karna saw him. Snake asked him to fire him again on Arjuna this time he would definitely kill him but Karna declined
11/23
Karna said that he didnt want to take help from other one to kill Arjuna since he himself was capable. The snake himself tried to kill Arjuna but was killed by Arjuna. Then Arjuna fired 9 lethal arrows on Karna due to that he got unconscious by seeing this Arjuna stopped.
12/23
But Krishnaness asked him to kill but Karna got the consciousness and started to battle again. Karna was carrying burden of two curse. One from a brahmin who cursed him that wheel of his rath will stuck at the important battle and Parshuram curse
13/23
Karna would forget teaching of his guru at the time of need and both curse started to materialise. Karna started to forget Parshuram teachings and wheel of his rath stuck in the ground and his sarthi Shalya was constantly demoralising him.
14/23
Karna was so quick in archery that he was destroying Arjuna arrow before he could put in on string. He cut the string of Arjuna's dhanush continuously many times. Slowly slowly Karna was overpowering Arjuna in battle.
15/23
Worried Arjuna brought Raudrastra to fire but at the moment Karna rath's wheel stuck more. He jumped from rath and tried to lift but could not lift the wheel. Karna was so powerful that he had lift entire earth by 4 inch but at that moment cud not lift the wheel of rath.
16/23
Karna remembered Arjuna to dharma n asked to stop for some time since he was on earth and without weapon but Krishna said to karna that he himself never followed the dharma and he was the partner of all the sins of Duryodhana.
17/23
Karna started to fight with Arjuna from ground both fired Brahmstra on each other. Then other divya astras. Karna fired a lethal weapon on Arjuna due to that he lost his consciousness for few moments. By seeing this Karna again started to lift his wheel.
18/23
Krishna asked to Arjuna this was the moment to kill him till he was on the ground. Arjuna put Anjalik ashtra on his Dhanusha and prayed to God "If I was truthful to my guru, If I always followed Dharma then this ashtra would kill him" n fired it on Karna
19/23
The arrow beheaded Karna. As Karna died a golden light emerged from his body and lost into Sun. By seeing Karna dead, all Pandava warriors started to dance. Shalya fled from battleground. One of the most electrifying battle came to an end.
20/23
Daanver Karna is a "tragic antihero" of the epic. He is both generous to the Brahmins yet arrogant and cruel to the Pandavas. Yet as he nears his fatal battle, he is also willing to accept his mistakes and recognise the good in Yudhisthira and the Pandavas he opposes
21/23
Before the war Krishna offered him to become king of Hastinapur since he would have been accepted by both sides but he rejected just for the friendship of Duryodhana.
22/23
The first Indonesian president, Sukarno was named after Karna. The Karna story has been retold and adapted into drama, plays and dance performances in India and Southeast Asia. Rabindra Nath Tagor, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar wrote on Karna.
