'Looking at the situation any father, any parent would frankly understand what he did'

Being a 'Covid Reg,' every shift I have to phone a family and tell them the worst news they could hear - their relative is dying and they can't visit. Patients die holding these wooden hearts
And we post them out to the families later. That symbol is the most important part of our Covengers momento. I know we joke about the whole Thor and Covengers thing but we aren't heroes. We are people that still have a job and get paid. The real heroes are those families -
The families that ask if they can come be with their relative so they don't die alone and get told no. We wish we could let them in but explain we can't and not one of them has argued. They are heartbroken but understand their responsibility to everyone else.
And now I feel even worse for not breaking the rules and just letting them in. I want to thank all those families for being the real heroes and leaders we need. Thank you all for doing whatever it takes to take care of strangers despite the personal cost. #MemeReg #community
