Too many have died.

And on 9 May a legal team of @paulebowen QC, Tim Johnston and Emma Mockford instructed by @BindmansLLP on behalf of @TheDA_UK and @GoodLawProject wrote to @MattHancock informing him that, unless he agreed to an inquiry, we would institute legal proceedings.
You may think a public inquiry is inevitable. However, what is not is its timing, form and terms of reference. Our immediate concern is timing: it must take place so we can learn lessons before what now seem to be the inevitable crashing wave of further deaths.
On Friday, the Government wrote to us saying that it could not meet our timetable and would "endeavour to" respond by next Friday.

Our case is powerful and we believe it cannot resist an inquiry - but we do not trust that it will act with proper speed.
I believe it plans - this week - to attempt to blunt our legal challenge with an offer that will not do justice to the families of the dead, who will number greater than UK civilians who died in WWII.

So we have instructed @BindmansLLP to issue proceedings as soon as possible.
However we cannot take these actions alone.

Will you help us force upon Government the transparency, the self-reflection, the decency that is the hallmark of the country we once were? https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/too-many-nhs-deaths/
