People (including some spurs fans) seem to believe that we’ve already seen peak Kane in 2016-2018 but I’m here to tell you he definitely has more to offer. Let’s start by looking at his international fixtures this season.
In his last 6 matches for the national team he has racked up FIFTEEN goals + assists, in that time gaining three 9/10 match ratings
It’s easy for people to assume that all he would have done is score penalties but that can’t explain the three assists he provided in a single game. Kanes passing range and team play for England is arguably the best in the squad as demonstrated vs Czech Republic.
So why do people think he’s past his best? I think this is down to his current numbers for spurs however people fail to take into consideration the state of our squad over the last year which is why I’ve used England with the players available for him to play to his strengths.
As soon as the Tottenham squad is nicely refreshed with players to imitate his role for England I have little doubt that we will again see the monster that won back to back golden boots once again.
Now consider the West Ham 2-3 Spurs game earlier this season, the first under Mourinho where Harry showed exactly why he’s a world class striker with a clinical header which would decide the tie.
Other notable performances this season alone are Burnley 5-0 where he lashed in two top quality strikes showing his still not afraid to go for goal and Red Star (H) and Olympiacos (H) bagging a brace in both.
It’s clear to see that his “right place right time” attitude remains in both of those CL fixtures. His second against Red Star made it 14 goals in 15 apps for club and country so far that season.
Kanes game has evolved into much more of a playmaking role for now within Spurs having missed the presence of prime Eriksen and Dembele but he has still picked up 19 g+a for club this season.
Josè is a big fan of Kane, and I can see him getting the very very best from Harry soon enough.
