On the eve of #EidMubarak in India, I could not stop myself from sharing a back story, heads up, it’s self indulgence on my part, but I think there is something in it, hence I wanted to share it, thread related to the people mentioned in the article http://toi.in/xo6bha/a24gj 

Most people on my TL, who are related to politics, understand that rivalry and teams (factions) within parties exist and are here to stay. These internal rivalries are the backbone of one’s political journey, like it or not, they are here to stay, trust and loyalty matter

MD Nadim was the candidate of the @INCWestBengal in the 2015 KMC elections, one of the youngest ones put up by the party, secured second place, got his hand fractured while trying to protect his contest from being completely rigged by the TMC BAHUBALIS

He had a mentor- a bit about his mentor, he is an individual who made his way from a neighbouring state, a true blue Bollywood story with no redemption angle, an antagonist who has only gone down the pit of crime and whatnot,

This antagonist was the architect behind the attack on the Quest Mall and Inox theatre in it even after explicit instructions that the screening of the @TAPMofficial should not be stopped or obstructed by then @INCIndia President @RahulGandhi ji as well as #Bengal @SomenMitraINC

The antagonist asked Md Nadim as well as few other young boys of the area, played a religious card on them, btw this antagonist is of the majority faith but surrounded himself with minority boys, asked them to book bulk tickets of the movie which was being screened, he was coming

As it is usually, no questions were asked by Nadim & his fellow associates as the antagonist was their mentor and leader, they belonged to his faction within the party, they bought the tickets and waited for him to arrive, which when he did, created a ruckus, tore down the screen

Made people leave the theatre, a whole pandemonium, various security hazards, destroyed the mall property, (most of this was done by the boys from Metiabruz) as Nadim and the boys who lived next to Quest didn’t approve of it, as the mall is a regular hangout for them & their fam

The aicc and pcc immediately show caused this antagonist, who then went on a hiding, all this time, the social media, news channels and print press took the @INCIndia and @RahulGandhi to the cleaners for allowing such intolerance when they had instructed the absolute opposite

It was a few days later, I got a call from Kasif, who I knew well, that Nadim, who until then, I had not met, wanted to meet me, it was around 6.30 pm, at the famous Shiraz restaurant, I met Nadim, had a thumbs up with him, found out that he was my age, had a wife, a daughter ,

I left the meeting after finishing our conversation, told him, to be a leader, a face of the community, to think about his daughter, wife, his mother, being on the run, cases in his name in various police stations, would not do him any good, to be the change, not the gunda tag!

All these boys were booked, while their mentor went on the run, picked up by the ARS, this was the time I intervened on their behalf, they would get bail, though the case is still on, a week later, the antagonist called me on my phone, tried to intimidate me,

His only concern was that I was trying to take his team, he was their leader and I had no business to interfere, all this time, not an iota of regret in him, nor did he care for the well being of the boys or their future

I will cut this bit now, I guess the people reading this will get the jist of the story, the famous quest mall incident related to the screening of the accidental prime minister, etc

Coming back to the indulgence bit, I can safely say that these boys I believed in, after meeting them and having conversed with them, their aspirations, their undying loyalty to their mentor and his instructions, they needed the right push to do good, people are not bad,

Especially young people, it is their sense of loyalty, false heroism they fall prey to of people who help them at their vunerable junctures in their lives, that turn them to the wrong path, unknowingly, but there are heroes in them, wanting to do good, curb and channel them

Btw, it’s important people know who this antagonist is and his current status, his name is Rakesh Singh, for all his protest against @TAPMofficial , PM Modi, the words he use to use against the @BJP4India , within 3 months of the quest incident, was inducted into the @BJP4Bengal

Party, under the leadership of @DilipGhoshBJP @KailashOnline and now chants Jai Shree Ram, and goes about destroying Bengal. Rakesh Singh was also behind the destruction of the VidyaSagar statue last year, stands against the community which made him the “leader” he is today!

This Rakesh Singh has being instrumental in taking few others who enjoyed the best positions, undeservedly during 2014-2018, within the @INCWestBengal hierarchy into the @BJP4Bengal fold, mostly characterless scoundrels, communal bigots, masking their true identity

As I finish this thread, just wanted to tell you all that the reason behind this is the fact that how these boys mentioned in the article by @TOIKolkata @rohitkhannaTOI are good human beings, trying to help society and people, all they need is the push in the right direction,

To care for people, to show empathy is important, to give them a purpose, they are hungry, dedicated and loyal, let’s help them help others, even as an opposition, let’s be constructive and oppose correctly instead of just seeking highlight in the press, even for the wrong things

The Kashmiris are on their way home, they will make it in time to be with their families and loved ones on #EidUlFitr ; they will get to greet #EidMubarak in person, like they say, a Christmas miracle, this is an Eid miracle made by @mohamma12145591 @KashifReza03 @JoyduttaKol
