My mentions are a mess rn so I cannot possibly reply to everyone separately & I don’t intend to. Let me just say this, this never was about competing about who has it worse, black women or black men. My point was that if you are pro-black you have to be for ALL black people.
Y’all using coons as examples of hate & colorism in the black community is irrelevant because I’m not talking about celebrities or coons that act as pawns for white people. If all of your examples are celebrities saying some bs, it doesn’t count bc it’s their job to do that.
Celebrities are vetted based on their low self-esteem & sense of self-worth & hatred for blackness. I’m not talking about individual experiences either, because obviously we have issues in our community like colorism, internalized self-hatered etc. I never said we didn’t.
I’m just saying the societal systems that are set up to oppress black men SPECIFICALLY, like the prison system, the welfare system in the US, the child support system etc. generally don’t get as much publicity or outrage as systems set against black women.
Black women actually have spaces where we can go & get support or help, like different support groups & healing circles, organizations by black women made to uplift black women & girls, even the welfare system will take care of black women in the US.
Black men have next to NOTHING in terms of societal structures & institutional framework to support them. Rarely you see support groups specifically targeted for black men or spaces where they can express their feelings WITHOUT JUDGEMENT.
Black women dying of childbirth in extremely high rates gained a lot of traction online & we have a lot of black doulas & midwifes & black women are getting back to our roots concerning childbirth & pregnancy which I love.
There is nothing in societal structures that supports black men having children or teaches them how to be there for a woman during pregnancy, during labor & after. There are no spaces where black men can learn about post-partum & how to support their partner through that time.
There is nothing in our society that supports black men in being fathers & having children yet black men are STATISTICALLY the most present, loving & active fathers.

The whole justice system is set against black people, especially black men which is why they have kept brainwashing us with the image of the black man being naturally violent, a savage, always acting out of anger & completely mindlessly. So that they can justify locking them up.
There are no systems to help black men reintegrate into society after serving time. There are no systems to help black men get jobs. Everybody knows black women get jobs more easily because they are seen as ’less threathening’ in the workplace.
There are no systems to help black men out of homelessness or unemployment, like there are for black women (the welfare system). Even then it is set up so that black men cannot benefit from them & you have to almost denounce your union with your divine counterpart.
THESE are examples. Not ”this celebrity said this & this guy is colorist”. I’m talking about institutional & systematic constructs that support black women (or black women can use for their benefit) but not black men.
And I’m not the first one to say this either!! I’m not saying anything revolutionary. Niggas have BEEN trying to tell you this for decades!!! They BEEN trying to ask for help & support but y’all keep dismissing them because you truly don’t care about the wellbeing of black men.
